About Shane

Shane Barnard, JD, is a recovering lawyer and current certified personal trainer and creator of the UrbanKick cardio kickboxing format and instructor certifications. She is the co-founder of Urbanplay, a non-profit health and fitness program for youth and currently teaches in the Bay Area of Northern California.

Shane is a fitness blogger for MyFitnessPal/Under Armour and is a nationally recognized fitness presenter, having presented at the IDEA World Fitness Conference and the SCW Mania Conferences. She is certified by and a continuing education provider for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Athletic and Fitness Association of America, and the American Council on Exercise.

Shane believes exercise should be fun and not taken too seriously and is excited to share her efficient and effective workouts with you!
